So you're considering at trip to the Amazon. Its a worthwhile journey, though it requires effort. It's a rare opportunity to experience the Amazon rainforest and learn firsthand about the environment – you'll see the wonders of nature, along with the recent effects of "progress". It's a thought-provoking journey and really is an adventure!

Where in the Amazon do you want to go?

The Amazon basin is huge. Its about the same size as the continental United States – big enough to spend a considerable amount of time exploring. There are few roads, and travelling through the rainforest is tough. The most common form of transport is by riverboat or canoe along any of the 1,100 rivers which make up the river system of the Amazon basin. The Amazon basin incorporates parts of Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, Bolivia, Colombia, and Venezuela.
